I really like this theme! I tweaked it a bit, mainly colorwise, so that the links would be more visible. You’ll see that it’s a very pleasing look. And I’ve left the credits at the bottom, with a note that I’ve done some tweaking.

    Thanks, Sadish!

    Hi,
i like your theme but I have a problem.

Why isn’t there “page template” menu to choose from? i’m trying to get google adsense search to work but I can’t!

  7. tomon 31 Aug 2007 at 6:36 pm

i got it! I thought it was a problem with the theme but it turned out it was just my lack of wordpress knowledge! Sorry! :)

We are novices that are trying to develop a company blog using wordpress. We want something where we can customize the sidebars. Can we do that using this tech land theme?

  10. Kieraon 13 Sep 2007 at 5:56 pm

I have a question! I noticed that for all my pages that it automatically links the subpages within the page for me. However, I prefer to manually do this this myself as I have my subpages set in a certain order. Is there anyway I can turn this feature off?

  11. adminon 13 Sep 2007 at 6:15 pm

    Kiera,
Open up the page.php file in the theme folder and remove the call to the child pages from it.

  12. Kieraon 13 Sep 2007 at 10:44 pm

Ok, I have one last question, if you don’t mind. I was looking for the code and I got confused as to where it begins and ends. I’m afraid of deleting something by mistake. I’m new to all this, hehe. If you don’t know mind, what is the exact coding I’m looking for? Thanks in advance. :)

  13. Kieraon 13 Sep 2007 at 10:54 pm

Oh, I forgot something else. Is there any way to make the banner refreshable? Also, I see that the title and subtitle of my site already appears on the banner by the default but is there any way to get rid of it and still have my site title name show up on my browser? (I hope that make sense). I tried it through the Options panel in Wordpress but removing them leaves me with no site title for my browser.

Hi I’m using this theme on a private blog. It only seems to be posting a maximum of 45 tags. When I add new stories with new tags it doesn’t add the tags - just the post. Is this right? Thanks

  18. adminon 10 Oct 2007 at 8:14 am

Mark, we have no idea what you are talking about. Tags is WP 2.3 feature and this theme is not updated to accommodate it.

  19. Markon 10 Oct 2007 at 8:48 am

Thanks - apparently it’s because the widget limits the tags to 45?

  20. Paulon 07 Nov 2007 at 9:04 am

Hi, this is a great theme! How do I change the background colour of the top and bottom color bars? At the moment they are brown and I’d like them to be light blue, but I’m not sure which bit I need to change in the template.

  21. Paulon 07 Nov 2007 at 10:47 am

Never mind, I found it :-)

  22. Angelaon 25 Nov 2007 at 9:46 pm

Hello I like this template and would like to change a few things. I’ve changed the header image and its height size from 150px to 264px in the css. The image changed but not the height. I’ve noticed that some people are changing some of the styling and are able to do it but other like Ole Steinhoff would like to edit the footer and will be able to do so for $15.00. Could you clarify what changes I can do for free opposed to the ones I can’t.

  23. Matthias Röderon 27 Nov 2007 at 10:28 pm

    Hi there!

I love your work and wanted to thank you!

It occured to me that the search bar does not perform a search of the pages, but rather searches the post only. Is there a way to make the search more comprehensive (i.e. search content of pages as well?)

    Thanks for any advice!
    Matthias

  24. adminon 27 Nov 2007 at 10:58 pm

    Matthias,
The search does not search on pages. It is because WordPress does not support it. You may need to find some plugins “search everywhere” or something similar to that.

    Angela,
You can do any modification to the theme for free, except removing the footer links.
if you wish to do that, you have to make a donation of 15 dollars.

  25. Matthias Röderon 27 Nov 2007 at 11:04 pm

    Thanks for this clarification!Best,
    Matthias

This is my first wordpress blog so I am kind of new to if you can or cannot change some things in the theme.

I love Techland. It works for my new blog. I liked that I could change the header image but I would also like to change the background color (surrounding the page) to something with a little more contrast. Is this possible and if so how do you do this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, This is a beautiful and clean template, I love it! I do have a problem in that Home is listed in the top menu twice even though I only have one page called Home. The links both open that page. Can you tell me how to remove it?

    Thank you!

After a technical snafu with my hosting provider, I am setting up my mixed use blog with a different provider. I came across your template and absolutely appreciate the simplicity and clarity of it.

QUESTION: Do you have plans to make it compatible with 2.5?

Yes all my themes are compatible with WordPress 2.5.

Everything is customizable in Wordpress. Just go to the theme editor in your admin panel. This was the base theme I used for my site and I think it’s great.

I think this is a very clean and easy on the eyes theme.
    Well done Sadish.

Infact I’ve got a number of your themes I’m experimenting with. Too much to choose from.

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks
