Hey, I am using this theme on my website because it suits perfect for my pizza site. But I have problem I cannot solve. I want to bring the pages in an order according to the pagemanager. the first page “recipies” hast number 1 and then I am just counting. I did a changement in the the code in the header.php into:

and everything works fine. I have exacly the parantpages on top I want.

For the sidebar.php I exchanged the as follows!
    ?php wp_list_pages(’sort_column=menu_order’)
And it doesnt work! I should work but the pages are listed in a completly diffrent order than in the header (first problem) and the dependent pages are not in the order from the menue! S

Sorry, its a great theme, even the widgets work fine, but this really looks a bit buggy! Can you help me?

    pizza,

that code you changed will work if you do not have the widgets in use.

once you drag the widgets, the sidebar’s code is ignored.

    Ok, got it!

Thank you very much. Do you know how many time one need to find that in a help forum? But your help didn’t change my problem, because (of course) I wanted to exclude items from the sidebar.

Handling with the code is tricky, because I have to exclude all the items in the sidebar manually. I had to go to sidebar.php in order to exclude all the items from the menu as follows:

I wanted to exclude the items monthly and archives:

    This is the code:

    by –>

The easiest and safest way is “auskommentieren” as we say in German. That means, don’t delete them, but making them inactive. I did that as follows:

    –>

The only difference is at the end. I guess I can even change the order by bringing the code in the same order as the items should appear in the sidebar. Will try that know!

    Hello,

I love Organic, and I’d like to use it on my site but I’m having one little issue with it: I’d like to let users post comments without being logged in, with the use of a verification image, as described here: http://www.mikesmullin.com/2006/06/05/ajax-comments-20/

When I add the required code to display the verification image to the Organic2 comment.php (between the text area and the submit button), I can’t see the image or the boxe to type the verification word, although this change works well when I’m using the default wordpress theme.

Is there something I’m missing to be able to modify the comment page?

Thanks for this great theme, and I hope I can setup this change with this theme.

    Hi
I’m using your organic template. It’s clear and simple but I need to organize my caytegories on two levels (main withowt posts and subcategories with posts).
There is a method for showing this? es. I have a main category namen Restores and 2 subcat. named Churces and Paints. When I organize my posts on menu appears only categories with posts but not main categories.

I hope you can understand my english and help me!

    Hello

Love this theme and am currently trying it out

I have a static page called “about” as my home page and when I go to the home page the About tab at the top of the page is highlighted.

Is there any way I can use a static page and have the “Home” tab at top of page highlighted?

    Regards
    Brian

I am very pleased with your theme but . . . . I also am having a problem with the page order.

I am being hosted by geekhosting. I have removed the widget “pages”, went to / public_html / wp-content / themes / organic / (Current Folder) sidebar.php
    changed to

placed the widget back into the theme and I still cannot get it to work.

I would like the second page listed to be “location, location, location.

I am just an ordinary person, not a developer, etc. and would need to have very specific directions.

I hope someone can help me.

    Thanks,
    Marilyn

Sorry, I don’t know why the code did not show up in the previous post. I changed it to li>
    h2> ?php _e(’Pages’); ?>/h2>
    ul>
    ?php wp_list_pages( ’sort_column=menu_order’ ); ?>
    /ul>

Thanks for this great theme - have modified it for our blog, and we love it.
But there is a problem I can’t seem to solve. I work on a Mac, so viewing this theme in Safari or Firefox, the right side menu bar text appears nicely from the top of the page. However, in Internet Explorer, the right side menu bar text doesn’t appear until the bottom of the page, following all the posts. Any ideas how I could fix this?
    Thanks!

    Hi Sadish,

Thanks for the beautiful theme. I have a question/problem, but I’m not sure whether the source of the problem is the theme or wordpress or something I’m doing (or not doing).

Images are not classed as .left or .right, and therefore, there is no margin between wrapped text and the image. Any suggestion?

    Thank you!

  20. thiefhunteron 26 Feb 2008 at 4:00 pm

    Solved. Nevermind.

Hi, first of all, thank you for the beautiful theme. Currently, my website has lots of children-menu and I would like to have a expand and collapse function for the sidebar. E.g. upon clicking a parent menu, it’ll expand and display all the children menu. How can I do that? Please advise.

    Thank you.
